19 January 2012
As announced in the ESCIF Newsletter in November, the ESCIF Congress and Assembly of Delegates will be held in Lucignano, Italy, from Wednesday 23 May to Friday 25 May 2012. The Congress will be hosted by the Italian organisation FAIP.
The theme for this year’s meeting is highly topical: The impact of the ongoing economic crisis on the lives of people with SCI in Europe.
The Congress website is now “open” and on the site you can read more about the venue and the programme – and, of course, you can also register online. The site also gives contact details of people you can contact if you have any further questions.
Please note! The ESCIF Executive would like, once more, to draw your attention to three important details:
First, the Congress and Assembly of Delegates this year will continue until 4.00pm Friday afternoon (rather than finishing with lunch). This is to give us some time to hear about new projects in our member countries.
Second, please remember that each member organisation is entitled to send two delegates (and their personal assistants). The number of wheelchair-accessible rooms at the venue is limited and, although we will try to accommodate additional participants from our member organisations, priority will be given to the designated delegates. So please register before 1 March 2012.
Finally, we have found it necessary to clarify the “rules” concerning cancellation. Please read these carefully.
